Yes. We provide a guided onboarding wizard inside the MAP console plus full documentation.
Check the Fleet Validation Process and the Intel EMA Installation Guide for deeper references.
Windows 10/11 OS and network ports 443/8080 must be open for out-of-band management.
No. MAP can run alongside Intel EMA. Many customers keep EMA during migration or for specific
workflows. Long-term dual management of the same endpoints isn’t recommended due to overlapping
policies or sessions.
Deployments
MAP is delivered as a managed service in Microsoft Azure—there’s nothing for you to host.
If you already run Intel EMA, you can keep it during transition, but long-term managing the
same endpoints with both tools is not advised. We provide a clean migration path if you want
to consolidate on MAP.
Directory Services:
LDAP/LDAPS: 389/636, Global Catalog: 3268/3269 for AD/802.1X setups.
Cloud firewalls:
Allow trusted sources only to 443 and websocket/8084 when required.
Internal EMA ports (8092–8094, 8089) should be limited to VM-to-VM traffic within your security groups.
Admin & Usage
• Remote BIOS configuration
• Power management (on/off/reset)
• KVM screen control
• Boot redirection (PXE, ISO)
• Hardware inventory
MAP supports Intel vPro platforms starting from 8th Gen CPUs with ME firmware 12.0+.
Legacy support is available for some platforms.
MAP also supports non-vPro devices for in-band management.
MAP is optimized for Windows devices today. Mac and Linux support is under evaluation
for future releases.

Security & Privacy
MAP data is hosted in Microsoft Azure data centers.
EU customers’ data is stored in EU regions by default (GDPR-compliant).
(Note: storage details for U.S. customers can be added upon confirmation.)
Yes. MAP provides MFA enrollment.
The agent reports device metadata only—manufacturer, CPU, memory, OS/software versions, storage usage,
connection status, and Intel AMT state/version.
It does not collect personal content or data created/viewed on the device.
The agent also maintains a local database of its configuration and certificates.
